Krytox GPL-206 is very similar to GPL-205 with a base oil of a very slightly heavier consistency, similar density and higher temperature resistance. The viscosity or thickness/consistency of the base oil in GPL-206 at about 10-15ºF (5-10ºC) higher temperature is the same as that of GPL-205, so GPL-206 spreads at about the same rate and stays in place a bit better in summer or warmer temperatures. Can be applied by hand, brushing or wiping. KRYTOX® grease is compatible with commonly used materials and does not damage plastics or elastomers, nor causes corrosion to metals. Consistency: NLGI #2. GPL-206 IS AN EXCELLENT ALL-PURPOSE GRADE OF KRYTOX® GREASE, PERFECT FOR MANY INDUSTRIAL AND AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS. Always follow original equipment manufacturer’s instructions. KRYTOX® lubricants are high performance greases composed of perfluoropolyether (PFPE) based oils with sub-micron particles of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as thickener. KRYTOX® is chemically inert, has no reaction with oxygen, and is extremely high and low temperature stable. DuPont continuously experiments with Krytox® to expand the range of consumer applications. In various studies over the years, Krytox® was tested at temperatures greater than 900°F (482°C) in the presence of oxygen and at pressures up to 35 bar with no ignition.
