FROM THE MAKERS OF FOAM-TAC – the amazing Adhesive that’s SAFE for foam. FOAM-FINISH – the finishing compound for foam! A white liquid filling paste for smoothing and finishing all kinds of foam – Depron, EPP, EPO, Styrofoam, and more. Unlike regular filler – Foam-Finish makes a hard flexible waterproof finish! Ideal for foamie model airplanes – smooth out the pebbly surface of the wings and fuselage! Its not easy to sand – it dries with a hard finish but stays flexible. (For larger dents or holes use «Foam Filler» first, which easily sands smooth, see my other listings!) Easy to apply – use a plastic spatula to apply & spread a thin coat Cleans up with water! No strong odor or fumes, non-toxic. Helps make foam stronger without adding extra weight – can be used with fiberglass cloth! (Check YouTube for videos on this) Dries with a clear matte finish, creating a very smooth surface for decals or paint. Sandable to make a very smooth finish.Flexible when dry – won’t crack! Support US workers! HELPFUL HINTS FOR USING FOAM-FINISH Note: use a metal spoon or knife to mix the entire contents until it is an even, smooth, «goopy» consistency. The product may settle while in storage. A small amount of water may be added if its too dry. Apply a thin coating to the surface of the foam using a plastic spatula or an old credit card. Squeegee the product into the surface, working back and forth to force the product into the cracks and crevices. Remove excess product (don’t leave blobs or bumps). Allow 6-8 hours to fully dry (the first coating takes longer to dry since the product penetrates the surface). Apply a very thin second coat (this will dry very quickly). Lightly sand with medium-fine sandpaper to achieve a perfectly smooth finish, which can then be painted or stained. Can be used to fibreglass your foam surfaces – after applying the first coat, overlay with your choice of fibreglass cloth while the Foam-Finish product is still wet. The fibreglass will «grab» to the wet surface. Then apply a top coat of Foam-Finish using a plastic spatula to smooth out and remove all the excess product. When fully dry, sand off the excess product and then apply a second thin coat. When finished with fine sandpaper, you will have a smooth paintable surface that will add great strength to your model while remaining flexible.
