ANTIQUE PORCELAIN ZEBRA EXQUISITE AND REALISTIC DETAIL. ca.1900’s.SIZE APPROX 4 3/4″ IN. LONG X 4 7/8″ IN. HIGH.HAS BLUE CROWN STAMP WITH LETTER HALLMARK ON BOTTOM UNDERSIDE. THE IS ALSO A INCISED NUMBER 6919. MAY POSSIBLY BE KARL ENS AND SON’S OR ACKERMANN AND FRITZE, GERMANY. VERY GOOD EXAMPLE IS A MODEL REPRESENTATION OF A STALLION ZEBRA HORSE STANDING LOOKING TO THE LEFT SIDE. THE BASE IS UNIQUELY DESIGNED. PLEASE NOTE: THE FIGURINE HAS A FACTORY FIRING CRACK OR BREAK ON THE RIGHT FETLOCK AREA WHICH GOES ALL THE WAY AROUND IT’S FETLOCK AREA. THERE ARE SCATTERED FLEABITES AND FIRING PITS ON THE BASE AND ZEBRA ITSELF. THIS IS DUE TO THE FIRING PROCESS BACK THEN WHEN IT WAS NOT YET PERFECTED. THERE IS A ROUGH AREA ON EACH SIDE CLOSE TO THE STIFLE OR NEAR THE BARREL. THE FIGURINE POSSIBLY A FACTORY SECOND OR THIRD DUE TO THE FIRING FLAWS NOTED. I HAVE HAD THIS PIECE FOR A VERY LONG TIME, AND, I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER SO I HAVE NO ADDITIONAL HISTORY. THE ZEBRA HAS VERY FINE DETAILS AND OR REALISM. I HAVE YET TO SEE ANOTHER LIKE IT. THE FIGURINE HAS THE LOOK AND FEEL PLUS THE STRIKING QUALITY REALISM DETAIL OF GERMAN MANUFACTURE.
