TREXFMSU-6DE 1985-1986 Ford Full-Size Pickup 19 gallon DIESEL ENGINE side, midship, front metal fuel tank****(OEM metal style – approx. 56″ long) sending unit. Includes a new lock ring and O-ring. *This unit will work with the carbureted (non-fuel injected/no fuel pump in the tank) gas engines in 1985 & 1986 as long as the existing sending unit has the 2 pin wire connection shown in picture # 2. Ford’s big introduction of the fuel injected engine began in 1985 so verify your engine setup before ordering this unit. **This unit will NOT work properly in the 1987 or newer Ford Full-Size pickups with the a diesel engine. In 1987, Ford flipped and extended the Ohm range so this sending unit will read full when empty and empty when full in a 1987 or newer Ford pickup. ***This unit will NOT physically fit in the 16 gallon side, midship, front fuel tank (OEM metal style – approx. 40″ long). No unit is available for that tank at this time. Ohm range: Full 8.5-10.5, Empty 63-85 ************************************************************************************************************* This sending unit does NOT come with the «funnel filter.» If your original filter is no longer useable, you will need to purchase a replacement filter. I now have an aftermarket supplier making this filter. Find the filter by checking out my eBay store using part # FMFF-1 or eBay # 371687982468.
